This traditional Bwiti torch is handcrafted using palm fibers and banana leaves, meticulously wrapped in a spiral to form a ritual staff. Used during night ceremonies, initiations, and processions, it symbolizes spiritual light, guidance, and purification.
The upper end is designed to hold sacred fire or embers, while the body is tightly bound to ensure durability during use. Every detail reflects ancestral knowledge and spiritual function, making it not only a practical object but a deeply symbolic artifact.
