🔴 Moungouli - Bwiti Red Gourd – Ngoma Ritual Instrument 🔴
Handcrafted for Spiritual Rhythm and Sacred Fire These red-painted gourds are a key ritual item in Bwiti ceremonies, used to carry rhythm, channel energy, and invoke ancestral presence. Coated in sacred red pigment — the color of fire, blood, and transformation — each gourd is carefully dried and hand-colored in the village, then sealed with a symbolic loop for holding or hanging. In ceremony, the red gourd is often used as:
• A rattle or shaker in the Ngoma rhythm
• A protective talisman placed near the fire
• A symbolic container of the spirit flame Each piece is unique, imbued with intention, and prepared in accordance with Bwiti custom. Not decorative.
For spiritual use only.
Handled with reverence and never opened unless instructed by a Nganga.
Note: This item is only available for pick-up in the village. Not included in program tuition. Reserved for alumni and recognized practitioners
